Özgür Uyanık

Özgür Uyanık is a film director and writer. Born in Turkey and raised in the United Kingdom he is now back home in Istanbul, Turkey directing and writing. In the past he has worked as a feature film development executive, a Head of Development, producer and sales agent in London, England. He has written and directed award-winning short films including “Oblivious” starring Sienna Guillory which won Best European Short Film at the Brussels European Film Festival as well as being short-listed for a BAFTA and sold to Universal Sci-Fi Channel and Canal+ International for several territories. “Resurrecting: The Street Walker” is his feature film debut as writer-director. Nominated Best UK Feature at Raindance Film Festival and official selection at International Istanbul Film Festival, FAB Edinburgh Horror Film Festival, The Festival of Fantastic Film Manchester, Dublin Horrorthon, Abertoir Horror Film Festival, Belgium’s Razor Reel and the Haapsalu Horror & Fantasy Film Festival.
